Duplex actuator mainly used for throttle actuation. The actuator is designed with system redundancy whereby the drive train and positional feedback are duplicated within the actuator. Should the actuator experience system failure on one channel there is a second channel that assumes control, sensors work in unison to ensure no loss of positional data. The actuator does not backdrive.
